Flip or flop contest: chicago edition
To help revitalize and bring pride back in Chicago's south and west side neighborhoods, #CHI-ONE will be hosting a contest, Flip or Flop: Chicago Edition. Interested communities will come up with promotional videos as to why their community should be the one to get some of their homes flipped whether it be the cultural, historical, or social significance of their town. They can show off key landmarks, attractions, and things that make Austin, Englewood, Lawndale, etc. unique.
Who: Any community in Chicago's south and west side who has pride for their neighborhood
When: We are accepting video submissions until March 31, 2019. Click the link here to submit your video.
Why: The winner will be chosen by Tarek and Christina and their neighborhood will get flipped. This will allow for their neighborhood to be showcased and improved.
About Flip or Flop: Flip or Flop is an HGTV show by Tarek and Christina El Moussas, a former couple, as they flip homes that are distressed or foreclosed and renovating them to resell back into the neighborhood. Tarek's job is to find the homes and renovate them. Christina is the one who is the interior and exterior designer. While they formerly worked in Orange County, California, I believe that they would be the perfect people to bring back the pride people feel about their community.
